Cut flowers

I love having fresh flowers in the house.  Depending on the flowers, some of them last longer than others.  Most of them, though, I could extend their displaying life a little longer by trimming them down and re-vase them.
It is not a new idea, but one that is so pretty to look at.

 We got these purple (they look red in this photo) tulips from the FS program.  They graced out dinning table for about a week...

 Then they went wild.... still pretty, but too distracted to look at them.

 Time for an hair cut a trim.  Ahhh... much better.  They will last a few more days.

A few short ones sit at the window sill next to my calendar.

(must clean those windows as soon as the rain stop)
