I started social networking via Facebook and Blogger because of my son's family moving away. Learning a new way to communicate was challenging but fun. Little did I know that this learning and fun would become useful to the women's ministry in our church.
I have always wanted to be part of the planning team but it seemed to be a far fetch goal for me for years. This year, when the team was considering a new way to connect with the ladies in our church, I put in my two-cents about an online communication group. Guess what? I was blessed with the task of heading it up!
I started with the Facebook group and pray over it everyday. This group is by invitation only so it calms the concerns of privacy issue.
I pray that God will bless and grow this venue of reaching out to more ladies in our church. However, I am very mindful that the one-on-one is still the best way to build any long lasting relationship.

Wow, it's really neat to see how God used you there! What a great idea.
ReplyDeletePS I'm visiting from TNAT
What a fun ministry to head and how neat to see God building skills in you to use for that!
ReplyDeleteI came from TNAT and have a quick question: you say in this post your son's family moving away. But I assume you're the mom in the 'about' photo. Do you have a son who is older and not in this photo? Sorry just confused about your family.
Stopping by from TNAT.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is great!! I'm glad God is using you in this way.
Hi Katie,
ReplyDeleteYes I do have an older and two grandkids. My baby and my grandson are the same age. My baby is another surprise blessing from the Lord. :)
How neat, and sorry about the double post.
ReplyDeleteNo problem Katie. :) Your boy is so very cute!
