Simplifying

This month is a month of prayer for our household.  There are two important things we are praying for.  Because of that, I need to simplify my life even more.

Our finance has been simplified thanks to the wonderful re-fi that took place right before the work reduction. Praise the Lord for His always perfect timing and provision.

Our errands and outings have cut significantly due to the increased price of gasoline.  We have always mapped our errand routes, now we also map the days we do the errands.

I will post more as the events unfold.  I just could not believe how God works things out yet I should know, because he has performed in my life so many miracles or things I thought were impossible - well, perhaps impossible to me but in Christ, all things are possible.

I am trying to cut down sugar snacks by making these sweet potato slices.  Amy's picture shown red color but since I did not have yam, I made it with sweet potatoes.  It was a hit with the kids, too.

I also got back to my monthly menu planning. I have to, in order to make things run more smoothly for the next months. The menu plan has proven to work beautifully in the past so it will work its magic again. I love my "Saving Dinner" cookbook.  I have left-overs for lunch almost daily.

Simplifying my beauty routine is my current endeavour.  The no-poo for my hair is working very well. I have also moved on to using baking soda solution for my facial cleansing and my back and feet care. The result stunned me.  For the first time in my life since puberty, I have a clean, even pored face skin without spending major bucks for it. My heels?  Nice and smooth.  I am so thankful to have found these many great uses of baking soda!
