FLY Day 19 - Inspirational Testimonial

Where are we again? Day 19! I had such busy weekend and the last couple of days that I didn't even get a chance to post or view any Blogs.
I came across an article from Marry Hunt about living simply. Simplicity has always been a very attractive goal for me. I remember when I was in my early twenty that I so wished to move close to the Amish community where everyone just lives simply. It was not running away. It was a yearning that's from the dept of my heart. I am still living in a suburb and have been living a very busy life. In the mist of this busy living, by God's grace, I did find solitude time occasionally, which I treasure greatly. Perhaps one day that wish will come true, until then, I am content as to where He has me.
Back to the FLY assignment. We are to read some testimonials today. I have the Sink Reflection book and have read it. It was a good read for inspiration and encouragement that I.am.not.alone. in this dis-organizational track. "Just jump in from wherever you are" is the motto of the FLYLady's method. It works very well with me as I am ALWAYS sidetracked!
So far, I have been diligent in doing most of the routines I have written down. When days got harried, I just know that I can get back on track, 15 minutes at a time. I have been de-cluttering. Yesterday we gave away some stuff to the Rescue Mission. The funny thing was, it didn't even seem like we have got rid of much! I can just see one of this summer's house projects will be an in-dept cleaning of STUFF. Ha!

Doesn't it feel good to get rid of "stuff". We get so attached to it:-) I have never done Flylady before, I fear the amount of emails she sends would send me over the edge! I always just toss stuff that hasn't been put away--I am ruthless that way, my children know if it is out and doesn't get to its proper home at the end of the day , it will get rehomed to the trash..LOL!

I ignore the emails! I am really just embrace what works for me. :) I like a clean, organized home, but I am not obsessed about it. We seem to always be in some seasons in our lives that would allow certain things get done. At this season in my life, it is my children and homeschooling. I was ready for retirement when Peter came into our lives. LOL! We wouldn't trade anything for him, though. He is one wonderful gift from God, that's for sure. :)
