Psalm 19

Early this morning (at about 1:36 a.m.), we heard Joshua crying from his room. Robert and I rushed to see what happened. He was not really awaken but kept saying his stomach was hurting him. We changed his sweat soaked shirt and helped him to get back to sleep. Then Peter started crying. Needless to say, we were up for a couple of hours. Joshua seemed to be better this morning, except that he still has a runny nose and a head-ache. I've been on him in drinking water and stay hydrated. Since we didn't go to church this morning, we watched Pastor John MacArthur's sermon on line and had our singing worship at home. This morning's message was about The Perfect Revelation of the Lord in Psalm 19. Verse 7 through 9 has been part of my favorite verses ever since I first learned it many, many years ago. The wonderful thing is that His scriptures holds the truth yesterday, today and tomorrow. I was blessed to have heard this teaching again. Learning once more about the six titles (law, testimony, precept, commandment, fear and judgements), the six characteristics (perfect, sure, right, pure, clean and true), the six benefits (converting the soul, making wise the simple, rejoicing the heart, enlightening the eyes, enduring forever and produces comprehensive righteousness - aka righteous altogether) and six times it reveals the author of which the testimony belongs to (of the Lord). I want to commit myself to memorize this chapter. Our singing was sweet also. We sang and sang, that's another thing we like doing on Sunday. God is so good to us.
